Do as I say, not as I doodoo......

We've started to do some potty training with Alex. His face says it all. We figured we should at least imitate the right thing for him to do as he's trying to use the potty. The picture is a little blurry and graphic. What'd you expect? It's potty training!

January 2010....baby bun still in the oven

We sometimes have to do a double take on how fast the time has gone by. It feels like the whole 3 years of marriage has been a blur. We're guessing because we're busy raising a toddler and bracing for the impact of another bundle of joy. Wasn't much new years celebrating going on in the Estrada household. Alex goes to bed at 830 and Keri is 9 months pregnant. Everybody was asleep at midnight. Mom and Ariel left on the first and we had some time to set up some of the cool stuff Alex got for Christmas.
Grandpa and Grandma Irving got him this collapsable truck that he really enjoys playing in and around. Upside: he really digs playing in it, downside: it take up a bunch of floor space. Alex will pile his blankets in the back portion and roll around in them. Speaking of floor space, our living room looks like Gerry the Giraffe from Toys r Us decided to take a toy dump all over the floor. We have toys from one end of the living room to the other. We finally got a toy box and book rack for Alex but all the big stuff is still floating around. Including his toy vacuum which he loves to push around the living room.

Keri's co-workers gave her a baby shower. She got a bunch of girly stuff for the new baby. Here she is posing with a few of the items.

December In a Nutshell roasting on an open fire......

Well, well, well we decided to update the blog with a long overdue December update. Lots to share from the festive month of december. Pregnancy is going well and Alex is getting bigger and smarter by the day. We had the pleasure of hosting xmas for the immediate Estrada family. Grandma Delia(Lola), Brother Ariel, Sister Amylisa, Brother-in-law Aaron and super cute niece Madelyn were all in attendance. The house was bursting at the seams with food and family for a week! Art was sick over the holidays and it put a damper on a lot of the activities he would have liked to have done with Aaron but we all had a good time nonetheless. Alex had his first Holiday Show for his daycare and he hated every minute of it. The picture doesn't show his discontent as well as the video but suffice it to say that he was not happy. We had to hide in the 2nd row of parents to keep him from evacuating the stage! Sorry the pic is a little blurry but you get the gist. 95% of the time he's pretty happy though! I didn't notice this until I posted the picture but Alex has his thumbs hooked inside the pockets of his pants. "Explain this whole 'sister' thing to me again." Amylisa, Aaron and Baby Maddie. Lola beaming with Grandma pride! Nice to see her so happy with the grandkids! Mom and mommies!
Christmas presents with the kids!

Gametime fun! We played apples to apples and Art had his sister rolling with his 'Gall Bladder=Trivial' entry.
Maddie's funny face! She's so stinkin' cute!

November Picture Update

Alex hasn't quite figured out how to push himself around on the trike that his Grandma and Grampa Irving got him but he sure likes sitting on it!

Basketball fun!

Alex likes playing basketball. If he's not trying to make a basket he's busy throwing the ball downstairs for Riley(the chocolate lab)! Enjoy the vid.

Blackberry Video

I totally forgot that we took this video of Alex getting his first haircut. It should go in September but I wanted to make sure you didn't miss it if you haven't checked the blog in awhile.

Yeah, I can walk.

Alex has been walking since about a week or so before his birthday. We just realized that we haven't posted any video of his bipedal adventures. Probably because we're too busy chasing him around. We thought it was tough keeping up with him when he was crawling!
